On March 12, 2021 the IBC working committee “Business Security” held an online meeting dedicated to the topic: “Key Issues of Ensuring the Safety of Personnel and Assets of IBC Member Companies in Times of COVID-19 Crisis.”

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Sergey Khomyakov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee, PJSC Gazprom and was attended by 32 representatives from 16 companies.

During the meeting, the following speakers addressed the topic:

  • Mr. Duncan Manning, Vice president corporate security, Royal Dutch Shell
    “Safety and Security of Personnel and Assets in Times of COVID-19 Outbreak”
  • Mr. Andrey Ivanov, Cybersecurity expert, Schneider Electric JSC
    “Several Aspects on Distant Access to Company’s Data in New Reality”
  • Ms. Elena Kovalevskaya, Senior manager, Ernst & Young
    “Tax and migration compliance for mobility programs;
  • Mr. Konstantin Slanov, Development director, Energy Consulting
    “IT tools to support business processes in the period of distant working”

During the discussion the participants shared their professional experience and examples of how they overcame the challenges caused by the pandemic. They also addressed a wide range of issues related to the development and implementation of measures to ensure safety of property, personnel and enterprises.

The online meeting was wrapped up with a traditional general discussion of the most pressing issues of the Committee’s work.
