AGM History

Absentee voting results in the frames of the 23rd Annual General Meeting

The absentee voting of the IBC members on issues on the agenda of the 23rd Annual General Meeting ended on 5 October 2020.

The necessary quorum was achieved in accordance with Act to Mitigate the Consequences of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

By an overwhelming majority following decisions have been reached.

The activities of the IBC bodies in 2019 have been approved.

The IBC members elected the IBC President and the IBC Vice President for a term of two years (2020-2022).

As voted upon by the IBC members the nominated candidates for the IBC President, Dr. Alexey Miller and for the IBC Vice President, Dr. Rainer Seele have been approved.

The new composition of the Presiding Committee has been approved in accordance with submitted resignations and appointments of the new candidates. The possible revisions to the membership of the Presiding Committee will be announced during the next Annual General Meeting.

New members of the IBC Presiding Committee approved by the 23rd Annual General Meeting are as follows:

The IBC membership base has been adjusted and as of 5 October 2020 the IBC has 118 members from 23 countries.
The certified financial statement for the fiscal year 2019 has been approved.

The auditing company PricewaterhouseCoopers Berlin for the fiscal year 2020 has been appointed.

22nd Annual General Meeting

May 30-31, 2019 | Bonn, Germany

For the first time since IBC founding conference in 1997, Bonn welcomed guests and participants of IBC Annual General Meeting. Hosted by Linde AG, Uniper SE and Wintershall Dea GmbH the flagship event gathered representatives of 88 IBC member-companies and was dedicated to “Natural Gas – Paving the Way to Ecological Economy”. During the opening ceremony the guest of honor, ex-Minister for Foreign Affairs and ex-Vice Chancellor of Germany, Mr. Sigmar Gabriel emphasized that over the past 10 years Europe has successfully liberalized its gas market.

Upon the resignation of Dr. Klaus Schaefer, Uniper SE, from his position as IBC Vise President, the AGM elected Dr. Rainer Seele, OMV Aktiengesellschaft as his successor. The forum has also approved the decision of IBC Presidium to create a new position of Chairman of IBC Board of Executives Directors and elected Dr. Alexander Medvedev, Gazprom Export LLC to hold this position. New members of IBC Presidium and Board of Executives Directors have been also elected during the meeting.

21st Annual General Meeting

April 26-27, 2018 | New Delhi, India

For the first time in the history of our association, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place in Asia. On the invitation by the Indian company SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited, the 21st AGM was held in New Delhi, India. It brought together over 270 delegates and guests and was focused on the topic «Natural Gas as a Clean Fuel for India and the World». Mr. Amitabh Kant, CEO National Institution for Transforming India “Aayog” and Mr. Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Commerce & Industry of the Republic of India took part in the opening ceremony of the AGM.

The AGM re-elected Dr. A. B. Miller, Chairman of the Management Committee, PJSC Gazprom, as the IBC President, and Mr. Klaus Schaefer, CEO, Uniper SE, was elected as the IBC Vice President. The forum also re-elected the membership of the IBC Presiding Committee and the Board of Directors.

20th Annual General Meeting

May 25-26, 2017 | Vienna, Austria

The 20th Jubiliee IBC AGM was held in Vienna, on the invitation by OMV Aktiengesellschaft and marked the 20th anniversary of the association. It brought together over 350 delegates and guests, and was focused on the topic «Natural Gas as Destination Fuel fort he Future». Dr. Hans Joerg Schelling, Minister of Finance of the Rebulic of Austria took part in the opening ceremony of the AGM. The forum re-elected the membership of the IBC Presiding Committee.
